PROJECT 2B:
WELLNESS CENTRE PLUS

WELLNESS CENTRE FOR JLN E 4/15, TAMAN EHSAN, 52100 KUALA LUMPUR, SELANGOR

In this Project 2B individual assignment, we are tasked to compile all the information we have gathered from Project 2A, and use that to design our own personalized Wellness Centre PLUS as a sort of complimentary program to the health-care facility, which is more technical, and treatment based. This Wellness Centre will not be a treatment center, but it will explore the idea of well-being as something which is to be promoted among the community and as a concept which is linked to the experience of the natural environments of the Kepong Botanical Gardens.
The final outcome should consist 4 A0 boards, a physical model, and some design process sketches.

Reflection

Throughout this assignment, after gathering sufficient and important data from our group site analysis in the Kepong Botanical Gardens, I was able to respond to the environment and community within the given context and explore environmental poetics of building enclosure’s design solutions that reduce environmental impact utilizing various complex typologies of spatial organisations and a variety of passive strategies for sustainable design.
