PROJECT 1: DIAGRAMMING ARCHITECTURAL PRINCIPLES

In this Project 1 group assignment, we are tasked and separated into groups of 6 members to conduct research to analyze an assigned building through the understanding of design intentions, design principles and the making of architectonics such as solid, lines and frames and interpret them with architectural diagrams. The finalize outcome should consist a set of architectural drawings, a series of analysis diagrams, and diagrammatic 3D models  through our understanding of  the aspects of concepts, structure, space planning, context and circulation, and compile all of them in a presentation board. We also used those progresses and outcomes for our presentation slides and recorded video presentation.

Reflection

By conducting research on the Boolean Birdhouse together with my fellow groupmates, we have sketched multiple different diagrams and built models through brainstorming and critical design processes, and decided whichever our works needed improvement or allowed for the finalized outcome. At the end of this assignment, I've learned and understand the purpose of  every design element & principle, and design-making of informative diagrams that may improve our architectural design choices and benefit us throughout our architecture study.
