In this task, we are required to choose a topic from the different types of vernacular and traditional architecture as we have already learned and discussed in lectures, like traditional Chinese architecture, traditional Indian architecture, vernacular Malay architecture, and vernacular architecture of Southeast Asia. After that, we need to produce an infographic showing our understanding of the chosen topic. The finalized outcome should consist all the necessary requirements of the brief, including an overview like the history and cosmology, and a theme like building typology or spatial layout conception. Finally, we are then required to compile all the images, charts and information, and convert them into a PDF file with an APA reference list

Reflection

Throughout this project, I have learned a lot about the design development and context of of the traditional architecture, by understanding the factors influenced such as cosmology, cultural and social preferences, and their technological advancements. I also have learned how to experiment different layouts, colour contrasts, and arrangements of images and sufficient information, in order to create a infographic that may help capture the reader's attention with ease and in flow.
