PROJECT 2: DAYLIGHTING

In this Project 2 group assignment, we are tasked and separated into groups of 6-7 members, and conduct a case study on any building to research on their passive design strategies of thermal comfort and daylighting, and identify how the ambience is created in terms of light and shadow and spatial experience with the help of 3D-building programs like Autodesk Revit and SketchUp. The final outcome should consist of 2 A3 research posters with the case study we chosen, along with an APA reference list of credible sources.

Reflection

Throughout this project, I was able to understand altitudes and azimuths of certain locations, and create different sun path diagrams by using a sun simulator website. Thus, I was able to sketch out the passive design strategies through the process of our case study. Not to mention, my group members and I managed to work together by applying the right descriptions for each diagrams and sections for the final outcome.
