PROJECT 2: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS REPORT
In this project, we are tasked and separated into groups to conduct a research on two different sites located in Malaysia. Similar to Project 1, each group member are required to work together by finding a comparative analysis between the two buildings about their historical facts, organization of form and space, and their circulation and paths-space relationship.
After that, we compose all of the finalized documents into an A4 sized soft-copy illustrative chronology booklet with maximum of 25 pages of Modern Malaysian Architecture that interprets the Modern Malaysian Architectural language and architecture influences to the architectural development of Malaysia in particular.
Reflection
Throughout this project, I have seen some uncooperativeness in my group, especially "back-riding" from one of the members. Nevertheless, most of us are able to gather enough informative notes by working and discussing together through WhatsApp and Discord. I was also in charge of sketching the pictures needed for the architectural elements of Sunway Pyramid. Overall, I have learned about the context and characteristics about the two heritage buildings by understanding the factors influenced that strengthen their purpose and significance to the Malaysian culture.
