PROJECT 3: INTERPRETATION & REPRESENTATION
Principles, Tectonics & Sensory - Sensory Spaces
In this Project 3 individual assignment, I am tasked to further develop my design intention from Project 2 and integrate it together with my knowledge of the user's sensorial experiences and the human anthropometrics and ergonomics, as well as my research on a variety of building materials that may affect the user's response into a 20m³ tectonic structure. I was also required to design the model's journey based on my narrative upon the theme of isolation. For example,
“Escape from limitations and focus the present, move forward till the end”
During this pandemic and MCO (Movement Control Order) period, some people who tend to stay in small shelters ended up trapped inside small and tight rooms, lost the ability to discover new things from the outside world, and start to sink into procrastination about remembering past failures and picturing future problems, so they lose confidence in themselves.
Thus, this structure will improvise the journey of those experiences and give a conclusion and impression towards the user through the sensorial spaces.
